Poster Contest

Poster Making Contest have been the yearly highlights of the ICNHS (Iligan City National High School) -Science Department. For this year, the design should be best on the theme: Water-Two Billion People are Dying for it. Selection of winners undergoes series of steps. First step, all students will be given a chance to compete among their classmates-a classroom compition. Second step, the classroom winners will compete with the other students from the other section of the same year level. Third step is the school level competition. If fortunate enough, school winners will try to venture on winning the regional and consequently in the National Level during the YES-O (Youth for Environment Organization) Convention.
Poster making contest is not the only activity that the ICNHS students can engagingly be involved throughout the school year of 2009. Students can also join on many other contests to develop their collaborative, scientific and communication skills. They can also choose the slogan contest, egg transport, cart climbing, paper airplane, paper tower, egg dropping, barge making, bridge making, spotlight contest and a lot more.
Talented students were discovered by joining on any of this events. When students join, they will learn two of the essential things in life and those are building self confidence and/or learning to accept gracefully that sometimes we can make mistakes.
