Prior Knowledge

This paper as said earlier would be difficult to understand especially if the background in spectroscopy and colloidal nature of a mixture are weak. It is then important to strengthen its knowledge on the following:

Emission of light and Spectroscopy

To begin understanding about the research paper mentioned below would be to start with in detail about emission of light. We all know from our high school chemistry that any objects can emit a packet of light of different wavelengths ones it is ignited. This is due to the transition of electron from ground state to excited state and lastly back again to its ground state. Packet of lights emitted is unique for every object because electrons of each object are arranged differently.  The study of the object’s emission of light directs scientists to the world of spectroscopy. According to Kulesa, Craig (1998) Spectroscopy pertains to the dispersion of an object's light into its component colors (i.e. energies) with its corresponding wavelengths. The emitted energies from the object’s light can be used to analyze its physical properties such as temperature, mass, luminosity and most especially its composition.
